Americans Helping Americans® is honored to award Bobby Greenhill and his Greenhill Contracting team as the Helpers of the Month for April! Congratulations Bobby and Greenhill Contracting!

After a devastating ice storm and a historical flood in Lee County, KY., Bobby and his contracting team came to assist in clean up and restoring efforts. That’s where he came across Shantee’s family and the house they’ve been living in. The ice storm punctured major holes in the roof, the rain and the flood rotted the inside and destroyed the foundation of the house.

That’s when Bobby decided to repair the home as much as he could free of charge

It’s just all divvied up. I really ain’t stuck a pencil and paper to it. Long as I’m not going hungry, I don’t mind to help,” said Greenhill.

He even set it up so that Shantee and her family of four young daughters can stay a few nights in the hotel as his crew works on her home.

“If I was a wealthy person, I’ll just go ahead and redo it all,” said Greenhill.

In recognition of his generosity, Americans Helping Americans provided a grant so that Greenhill Contracting can replace foundation with cement blocks and install R16 insulation throughout the home.

The Helper of the Month Award is designed to show the amazing, wonderful, hard-working, and dedicated people in American communities. We’ll be sharing these stories with you in the hopes that you’ll walk away as inspired as we are to do good things in your community!
