For more than 11 years the Americans Helping Americans® warehouse in Cumberland, Kentucky has been a beacon of light serving the needs of families in Bell, Clay, Harlan, Letcher, Leslie and Perry counties. From its humble beginnings as a food pantry, the warehouse has grown into a multifaceted support network where families come to get shoes, coats, school supplies, personal hygiene items, diapers and more. They not only receive basic needs but also support, kind words and fellowship from volunteers who oftentimes drive over one hundred miles from the warehouse into their communities delivering goods and services to those who are unable to reach the building.

Today, the warehouse serves over 1,000 residents a year and it will close down without your help.

Our goal is to raise $6,000 by August 31, 2009.  The $6,000 will help us to keep this important structure open another year.
