The Colonel Krizek Legacy Society
Americans Helping Americans® was founded in 1990 in part as a way to give back to those, and their families, who devoted years of their lives ensuring the freedoms we as citizens of the United States enjoy today.
Create your legacy with the Colonel Krizek Legacy Society through a planned gift today to build better futures for generations to come.
Please join me as a member of the Col. Krizek Legacy Society, so that together we can continue to impact lives long after we’re gone. I founded Americans Helping Americans® in 1990 in part as a way to give back to those, and their families, who devoted years of their lives ensuring the freedoms we as citizens of the United States enjoy today.
To support future generations of these Americans I established the Col. Krizek Legacy Society and have personally included Americans Helping Americans® in my estate plans. I hope you will consider this very special way to honor American veterans and meet the needs of so many other remarkable Americans both young and old who share this incredible country with us.
I am proud to be a veteran myself, having joined the U.S. Army Air Corps (later the U.S. Air Force), in 1946 following my graduation from high school. And I am honored to have been able to serve my country in active duty service on three separate occasions as well as more than three decades in the Air Force Reserves, retiring with the rank of colonel.
At Americans Helping Americans® we have a saying “every day is Veterans Day” because every day we work with our partners in West Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia and elsewhere in Appalachia rehabilitating homes and constructing accessibility ramps for the elderly and disabled veterans, and delivering hot meals and food boxes for veterans to help them get through the month as they struggle to make do on meager fixed incomes.
