Foodboxes for FamiliesA holiday food box with a turkey and other nutritious food items had the Grant Family of Georgia especially thankful for Americans Helping Americans® this year. Patti Grant supports her three children and her mother by working around the clock at minimum wage –which barely allows her to cover the day to day expenses. Putting food on the table for her family is a struggle every day, but the holidays are especially hard on the wallets – and hopes – of the Grant Family.

At the tender age of 14, Patti’s eldest daughter thanked our community partners heartily for a holiday meal, nutritious food for meals to come, and peace of mind this season and added: “Now we are better off than a lot of folks, because we have a home no one can take away, and we also have each other.”

On behalf of the 3,000 families receiving turkeys and canned goods this year we thank you for your generous support!
