Veterans and Active Military Receive Thanksgiving DinnersThrough Our Homeland Military Relief Program!

Americans Helping Americans® supports many local grassroots programs throughout the country. Through our Homeland Military Relief program, our spotlight recipients, Caring Hands Ministries and L.A.M.P. Ministries are able to distribute monthly food boxes to active and retired duty service personnel in need of assistance.

On Nov. 15th, they distributed 56 food boxes, each containing a complete Thanksgiving Dinner plus an additional meat item.

“Homeland Military Relief is a tangible way of saying ‘thank you for your service’.”
Charles Fleming
President, Caring Hands Ministries

The oldest veteran receiving a package was 85 and the youngest family member was almost 2 months old, too young to even suck on a drumstick. The program will continue to provide monthly food boxes to show appreciation and help active military and veterans in need. Read more about our veteran programs.

TOTAL FOOD DELIVERIES FOR THE HOLIDAYS

In partnership with Christian Relief Services, Americans Helping Americans® is providing 3024 frozen turkeys for the holidays throughout Appalachia.

Many don’t realize the plight of the working poor. Hard working families, many times working 6-7 days a week still have a hard time putting food on the table.

As an extra hand UP to these prideful families, we’re also sending 2,200 new winter coats, 2800 blankets and 3,500 toys for the holidays!
