Americans Helping Americans® in Action

08_sewingA great big thank you to the generous women of the Peace Lutheran Sewing Circle, Fort Myers, Florida and Phyllis W. Norwich, CT.  Our friends didn’t forget about those suffering harsh winters elsewhere in the country.

Thanks to their generous support Americans Helping Americans® sent boxes of beautiful hand knitted hats, blankets and sweaters to Appalachian children and seniors desperately trying to stay warm this winter.  Connecting those in need with those who want to help is one of the most efficient ways we can bring aid to families and children suffering from extreme poverty in Appalachia.
