Help Provide Children With the ‘Tools’ They Need for School

August 8, 2014

School Supplies

The children are happy knowing they are prepared for school. Please help us ensure no child is left without the “tools” they need for success. Please Give Today

A carpenter could not job his job if he showed up for work without a hammer and nails. And neither can a student who arrives at the first day of school without a pencil, paper and other school supplies, along with a backpack to carry them all in.

While to outfit a single student with the necessary “tools for school” may not be all that expensive, for many low-income households in Appalachia – particularly those with multiple children – the costs can add up very quickly.

Even by making a small gift you can ensure that the children living in the poorest regions of the country will come to school prepared to start learning without having the burden of worrying about not having the supplies they need to get off to a great start.

This year, with your generous support, Americans Helping Americans® plans to provide 945 backpacks filled with school supplies for elementary school children, and another 930 for junior high students!donate

While that will make a big difference in the lives of 1,875 students, the need in Appalachia is great. Please help us make sure many more children are ready to kick off the new school year with the tools they need to be successful.

As always, thank you for your support and the gifts you give to these young scholars!
