Story of the Week

October 17, 2017

It’s always great to see communities come together for the benefit of others. This week’s Story of The Week is about just that.

Thanks to our supporters, we have the joy of providing school supplies to children in Appalachia. As noted in a recent news article, our partner, Appalachian Outreach, was able to distribute 200 backpack kits provided by AHA to children in Jefferson City, Tennessee.

This back to school event was part of a broader effort that ultimately benefited almost 500 students. With a team of volunteers and supplies provided by organizations such as ours, Appalachian Outreach helped students start the school year off with hope. Hope that will allow them to prosper in school and beyond.
